What you receive
Firm, disease-checked yellow double lily bulbs, graded for size and packed in a breathable box with a plain-English planting card. Packs run from two bulbs to ten — enough to plant a border or fill three large pots.
How to plant
Choose a spot with sun for most of the day and soil that drains freely. Dig a hole three times the depth of the bulb — around 6 inches for most lilies — and set the bulb pointed-end up on a handful of grit. Space them 8–10 inches apart. Water in once, then keep the soil lightly moist while they establish.
Tall Oriental varieties may need a slim stake by midsummer. Cut spent flowers off but leave the stem and leaves to die back naturally; that is what feeds next year’s bulb.
Common questions
When will they flower?
June to August, roughly 90–120 days after planting. Asiatic types flower first, Orientals a few weeks later.
Do lily bulbs need chilling?
No. Unlike tulips, lily bulbs are planted at any time and do not need a cold period to flower.
Are they safe around pets?
No — lilies are highly toxic to cats. Keep cut flowers and bulbs well out of reach.
